Tommy David Brown passed away on March 9, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on April 26, 1953 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky to Cye and Mary Brown. He grew up in Kentucky with eight brothers and sisters. He graduated from Laurel County High School, where he was a straight A student, in 1972 and joined the US Air Force. He served in communications and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1996, in such places as Germany, Spain, Taiwan, Korea, Tinker AFB, and Norfolk, Virginia, where he met his wife, Pam.
They married on October 10, 1974. After his retirement from the military, Tom became an auto parts salesman for Sears at the Midwest City store, where he was a customer favorite, and worked there until he retired again after several years of service.
Tom was an avid reader of just about anything that was interesting, and was a master at the game of pool. He loved children and animals and was well liked wherever he went. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, and many will sorely miss him.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Cye and Mary Brown, brothers Gary, Eddie, and Jackie, and nephews Bobby Brown and Robbie Armentrout.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pam, of the home, sisters Peggy Proffitt of London, Kentucky, Vivian Armantrout of Muncie, Indiana, Jewell Mendenhall and her husband, Jeffrey, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and brothers Jim Brown and his wife Diane, of Harrison, Ohio, and Charlie Brown of Cynthiana, Kentucky, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Midwest City on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Matthew United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
