A Memorial Service for Richard Ronald Brown, age 85, will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bruce Johnson officiating.
Richard was born to Edgar and Margaret Irene (Graham) Brown on February 5, 1927, in El Reno, and passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, in Enid.
Richard grew up in El Reno and Kingfisher. He served in the U.S. Army. On August 10, 1947, Richard married Emma Mae Culley in El Reno, and they made their home in California. He was a pilot and built his own airplane. He had a workshop and built lots of beautiful furniture, etc. They moved to Enid in 1991. Richard volunteered at Integris Bass Health Center for seventeen years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife Emma, of the home; five children, Richard Brown and wife Diane of Riverside, California, Kathryn Mora and husband Carlos of Olathe, Kansas, Sharon Humphreys and husband Steve of Tehachapi, California, Judith Limburg and husband Blake of Walla Walla, Washington, and Cynthia Ramakers and husband Don of Tustine, California; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers Edgar Duane Brown of Santa Rosa, California, and Jeffrey Allen Brown of New Mexico; and two sisters, Karen Bell of Salem, Oregon, and Billie Jo Groves of Mt. Angel, Oregon.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
