Michael Dan Allen "Mickey" Brown
September 22, 1937 ~ September 7, 2022

Michael "Mickey" Dan Allen Brown, 84, a lifelong resident of Fort Gibson, was born September 22, 1937, in Fort Gibson to Charlie and Edna (Spurlock) Brown and peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, with his family by his side.

Mickey received his education at Fort Gibson, graduating in 1956 from Fort Gibson High School. He met and married his best friend and the love of his life, Eunice Raley on January 24, 1958. They shared 64 years, seven months and 14 days together. Mickey and Eunice raised four beautiful children. He was a member of the Fort Gibson Presbyterian Church and served with the Fort Gibson Fire Department retiring in 1983. Mickey was a carpenter and could build anything. He built many homes, including 3 of his children's homes and his own home in 1998. Mickey enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, telling stories and entertaining his grandkids. He leaves a legacy of love, devotion and the will to work hard. Mickey will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charlie and Forrest Brown; and sisters, Belle Cahoon, Edna Mae Bastianelli, Janie Cook and Helen Castleberry.

Those left to cherish Mickey's memories are his wife, Eunice of the home; sons, David Brown, Ray Brown and wife, Liz, and Patrick Brown and wife, Tosha, all of Fort Gibson; daughter, Joy Watson and husband, Dean, of Oktaha; grandchildren, Rob Brown, Holly Murray, Julie Whitaker, Bailey Mitchell, Trent Brown, Aiden Brown, Cole Watson and Ty Watson; ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A celebration of Mickey's life will be 11AM Saturday, September 17, 2022, at South Ridge Baptist Church with Brother Butch Cook and grandson, Rob Brown officiating.

The family of Michael "Mickey" Dan Allen Brown has entrusted his care and service to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson. 918-478-2555.
