Joseph Brown was born October 20, 1969 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Christine and Evans Brown, Sr. He passed away July 28, 2014 at Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 44 years, 9 months and 8 days. Service is 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at New Hope Church of God in Christ 1502 SW Monroe Ave Lawton OK 73501. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Cross.
Joseph grew up in Lawton and graduated from Eisenhower High School. He was married to Christine Reynolds at Lawton, Oklahoma and they made their home in Lawton where Joseph worked for Goodwill Industries.
He was a member of the New Hope Church of God in Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, wife, Christine, 1 sister, Gloria Paige and 1 step son, Roland Reynolds.
He is survived by his mother, Christine Brown, Lawton, OK; 1 step daughter, LaShonda Frazier and Family, Lawton, OK; brothers and sisters, Michael Burse and wife, Charlotte, Lawton, OK; Delores Brickey, Victorville, CA; Denise Burse, Lawton, OK; Theodore Burse, Pamona, CA; Charles Burse, Lawton, OK; Shirley Miller and husband, Bill, Rialto, CA; Brenda Jack, Baytown, TX; Linda Smiley, Tacoma, WA; Alonzo Smiley and wife, Sandra, Lawton, OK; David Smiley and wife, Sharon, Pollock, TX; Evans Brown, Jr., Oklahoma City, OK; Veronica Burks, Lawton, OK; Maurice Brown, Oklahoma City, OK; Larry Brown, DeSoto, TX; Charles Brown, Bertha Williams, Teresa Nealy, Vanessa Thomas, Lawrence Dewberry, all of Oklahoma City, OK; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
