Joseph James "Joe" Brown RMC (Ret.)

Joseph James "Joe" Brown
December 13, 1937 ~ November 11, 2015

BROWN, Joseph J. (Joe) RMC (Ret.), passed into Life Nov. 11, in the warmth of his home. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on Dec. 13, 1937 to Joseph and Theresa Brown. Joe joined the U.S. Navy at seventeen, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.

After retiring from the Navy, Joe worked in the Aerospace industry until the age of 62, when he retired for the second time.

Joe loved the sea and enjoyed several long range deep sea fishing trips as well as the daily fishing boats sailing out of San Diego.

Joe resided in the San Diego area for 40 years, spending twenty-eight years of that time in Descanso, CA. He recently moved to Ada, OK to be hear his son, Jim.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Maureen; son, Jim (Jennifer) of Ada, OK; sister, Dorothea Hallowell of El Cajon, CA, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per his wishes, Joe will be buried at sea.
