Frank James Brown was born on September 9, 1933 in Greensboro, NC to Lucy Brown and Jasper Manning. He died on April 3, 2018 in Lawton, OK at age 85.
After graduating High School, Frank enlisted in the United States Army, in 1952 and served thirty years at which time he received numerous medals and awards, including the Bronze Star. While stationed in Fort Sill, OK, he met and married the loved of his life Julia Belle Brown, in 1982.
After retirement, Frank became a member of the VFW and The American Legion. In his career he served as Manager and Master Chef of the NCO, VFW and American Legion.
During his spare time Frank, loved cooking, doing crossword puzzles, playing his luck at the lottery and spending time with his fur baby Riley, the dog. Frank lived a good, memorable life, and left a lasting impression of love and care with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Julia Belle Brown.
Survivors include; 2 daughters, Julia Lee Tunstall of Seattle, WA, Blanche DeVeaux- Johnson and husband Clyde Johnson of Woodstock, GA; 2 sons, William E. Tunstall Jr. and wife Gwendolyn Tunstall of Houston, TX, and Harold Brown and wife Shelly Brown of Tulsa, OK; Daughter in law Crystal Brown; 7 grandchildren, George, Shawn, Taisha, William III, Eron, Mariah and Zoe; and many great grandchildren; a large extended family, and many individuals in his kid's lives who affectionately called him dad, and last but not least his beloved pet Riley Boo Brown.
