This is the story of D'Quan Brown. D'Quan was a wonderful young man that was loved, his heart and soul will be sorely missed, and he will always be cherished. He left an exceptional impression on our hearts with his compassion to give and sow into others, he brought true meaning to the proverbial expression, "I'll give you the shirt off my back." D'Quan loved family, his little brother was his pride and joy they spent lots of quality time together, as they were inseparable, and he loved him enormously. D'Quan was loving and caring with his parents as well, he would often knock on their bedroom door just to say, "Are you guys alright." He loved shopping for himself and others. When you received a gift from D'Quan it was going to be extravagant. D'Quan took fashion cues from no one, he had the ability to be extravagantly and stylishly dressed; from his bucket hats to his designer clothes. He enjoyed playing basketball and engaging in deep conversations. He shared his father's love of music particularly jazz and old school. He was also known for his skillful dancing.
Family gatherings were a highlight he would pack his suitcase weeks in advance and always texted his mom and dad daily asking for updates or changes regarding the family event. He enjoyed hanging out and spending time with his cousins, while also making sure his grandma had everything she needed. When she would assign a task for the grandboys he would say "we got you grandma, don't worry about it." D'Quan was a hard worker he would never stop until the task was done. He was a perfectionist and it just had to be done right.
D'Quan was known and respected throughout the neighborhood and the local gym. He would assist all, there was no strangers to him. He would go the extra mile and assist with unloading groceries, and if someone was on their way to the garbage receptacle he would stop his task and assist them. The neighbors after finding out his passing poured out their condolences to his mom and dad by stopping by to pray, to cry, and some brought flowers. The local gym family expressed their love and condolences to his mom and dad.
D'Quan knew he was loved as he stated, "Mom I mostly just feel loved."
