Darwin Dmone Brown, 44, passed away on August 5, 2017 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Ok. The only child born to Wanda Brown and Eddie Jackson, he was born on March 7, 1973 at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Ok.
Darwin was raised by his mother Wanda and Stepfather Bruce Jackson in Stillwater where he attended Stillwater public schools. He graduated from Cushing High School in 1991.
He was a hard worker, proud father, and a brother to many. For the past five years, he worked at Ditch Witch in Perry where he was known as a great co-worker and friend.
Darwin loved his family deeply and would do anything in the world for them. In his spare time, he actively participated in his children's extracurricular activities and could regularly be found on the sidelines coaching his son Bryson's basketball and football games.
Darwin is survived by his long-time Love Miranda Long of Stillwater. His children, Andrea and Bryson Brown, both of the home, and son Drew McKee of Ponca City. His mother and stepfather Wanda and Bruce Jackson of Stillwater, younger brother Patrick Jackson of Stillwater, Aunt Gwen Roland of Ponca City, Uncle Quincy Roland of Scott City, Ks., Uncle Bobby Roland of Houston, Tx. and a host of cousins and lifelong friends.
Darwin was preceded in death by his grandfather Howard Roland, grandmother Ruth Roland, his Aunt Mary Jordan, and Lucy Brown affectionately known as Mama Lucy.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, Ok. The funeral service will be Friday August 11, 2017 at 2:00pm at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10 from 9:00am to 8:00pm with family greeting guest from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
