Dewayne "Bud" Brown

Dewayne "Bud" Brown
July 12, 1962 ~ February 22, 2019

Bud would like for you to know that his work here on earth is done. He received an invitation that he could not resist. Bud’s going to a very special place where music, laughter and love is guaranteed. He’s on his way to heaven! Bud will be greeted by his Heavenly Father, his big brother, “Skeeter”, his step-father, Charlie Porter, and many other family members and friends.

Bud was born on July 12, 1962 and went home to glory, while peacefully sleeping, on February 22, 2019. He attended Enid High School, graduating as a star athlete. Bud attended York Junior College in Nebraska and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Langston University. He was a loyal and dedicated member of Grayson Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Norris L. Williams.

Bud leaves behind to celebrate his life, his dear mother, Hurlene Porter; his father, Eugene Brown; three sisters, Whonda Ford, Rhonda Gail Patton and Tami Brown; two step-sisters, Nancy (Marcellous) Baker and Carmen (Carl) Akin; one nephew, Elliott Hennington II; two nieces, Jasmine (Kerry) and Jade (Jason) Francil; two great-nieces, Lyric and Sienna; and a host of wonderful family members and great friends.

Bud’s memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 1:00 pm, at Grayson Missionary Baptist Church in Enid, OK.
