Cheryl Jeanette Brown, age 62 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on August 10, 2020 in Guthrie. Cheryl was born on June 18, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Edward and Norvalea (Cox) Brown.
Cheryl lived in Guthrie all of her life. She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1976. She worked in medical transcription and retired in 2011. Cheryl was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a very early age.
Some of Cheryl’s hobbies included collecting coins, collector plates, genealogy, animals, and working with the children in her church’s nursery.
Survivors include her brother Brian Brown and wife Christina of Guthrie, sister Brenda Coalwell and husband John of Broken Arrow, nieces and nephews Scott Stevens and wife Laura of North Carolina, Kyle Stevens of North Carolina, Brittney Brown of Oklahoma City, Macey Brown of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Brown and wife Brooke of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Emily Brown of Oklahoma City, and Chloe Brown of Guthrie. Cheryl is also survived by her great nephews Andrew Stevens and Troy Stevens. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Norvalea Brown.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Hudson officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
