B. Robert "Bob" Brown was born on June 3, 1932 in Bartlesville, Ok to Jim and Mabel Brown.
He received his education at St. John Catholic School, Bartlesville College High School and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a business degree in marketing.
He was married to Clara Holtsclaw on September 29, 1973.
He was a longtime employee and manager at Landers Brothers Food Store in Bartlesville, retiring in 1994.
A great sports fan, he loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, OKC Thunder and especially the OSU Cowboys. He was an avid golfer at Adams Golf Course and loved his golfing buddies. Once a year for 25 years he played golf with his brothers, Dick, David and Tom in what became known as the BBGO-Brown Brothers Golf Outing at various sites in the USA.
Mr. Brown is survived by his stepson, Dan Holtsclaw and his wife Ellen, step grandson, Danny Holtsclaw, step great granddaughter, Jerelyn Long, his two brothers and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Clara, his parents, a sister, Barbara Snead, and brother, Dick.
Private services will be held at a later date and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
