Billie Browder “PaPa” Bill was born on January 21, 1942, in Dallas, Texas to Haskell Jack and Mary Melissa (Groomer) Browder. Billie passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 80. Billie attended school at Claypool and graduated from Ringling High School in 1959. He graduated from Murray State College in 1961 and Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1963.
He married Jimmye Beams on May 28, 1961, and they have been united as one for 61 years. He worked as a mill supply manager for Weyerhaeuser in Wright City until his retirement and they moved to Bryan County in 2008. He was a member of Silo Baptist Church where he served as a Church Deacon and was a proud member of the Choctaw Senior Citizens. He enjoyed camping, fishing, sports, chasing grandkids, and more recently, great grandkids.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Lee Harris.
Loved ones left to continue his legacy are his wife Jimmye Kay Browder of the home; son Tommy Browder of Durant; daughter Melinda (Browder) Martin and husband Monte of Antlers; grandchildren Jairus Martin and wife Tammy, Shayla Austin and husband Koty, Tyler Browder, Bryce Martin, and Darrel Browder; great grandchildren Jaksyn, Emaree, Jett, Jayton, Jentry, and Berkley; sister Martha Jo Foster and numerous extended family and friends.
A memorial service is set for Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM, at Brown's Funeral Service of Durant. Services are under the Direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Durant. Online condolences can be made at www.brownsfuneralservice.com
