Funeral services for Barbara V. Broomes, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Barbara V. Broomes was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Chickasha, Okla., and died on Sunday, Oct. 19. 2003, in Chickasha.
Burial will be at 3 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct 22, 2003, in Resthaven Cemetery, Wichita, Kan., under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Barbara Viola Trout Broomes, 70, will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Robert Dye of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church officiating.
Barbara Viola Trout Broomes was born February 1, 1933, in Chickasha, daughter of Eulon and Mona [Vier] Trout.
She died October 19, 2003, in Chickasha.
Barbara grew up in Chickasha and attended the Chickasha Public School System. She married William Broomes in 1955, in Chickasha. Barbara and her husband then moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she lived most of her adult life.
She worked for the National Cash Register Company for many years.
After retiring from National Cash Register Company, she returned to Chickasha. She lived in Nowata Gardens Retirement Apartments for several years before going to the Grace Living Center.
She was a member of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. Barbara was preceded in death by both parents; then her husband William, in 1989.
Survivors include one brother, Jerry Trout, of Chickasha; one sister, Pat Tinsley, of Germantown, TN; one daughter, Eula Richmond, of Marion, KS, and four grandchildren.
Interment will be Wednesday, at 3:00 p.m. in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
