Michael Patrick Brooks
October 22, 1956 ~ January 18, 2026

Michael Patrick Brooks, age 69, a longtime Bromide, OK resident. He was born on Monday, October 22, 1956, to Robert Michael and JoAnn (Shaffer) Brooks, at Roswell, NM. Michael passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his home in Bromide, OK. He attended Garfield Elementary School in Elgin, IL, Ellis Junior High School in Elgin, IL and graduated from Olney High School in Olney, OK. He went on to attended ECU in Ada and then took Computer and Networking Classes at Kiamichi Vo-Tech.

Michael was a assembly line worker for a number of years at Wrangler-Blue Bell and worked 20 years at Cardinal Glass in Durant, OK. He married Mary Annette (Haseker) in 1980 at Elgin, IL. She preceded him in death. Michael was of the Catholic faith. He loved music, concerts, collecting, thrifting, buying and selling his finds, baseball memorabilia, KISS memorabilia, matchbox cars, Beanie babies, enjoyed going to the casino and visiting with family and friends.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Keeling and husband Oliver of Ada, OK; special friend, Sharon Stone of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Okie Chance Keeling and Ashley Espinal of Woodbin, GA, Nichole Womack of Holdenville, OK, Jacob Joshua of Little, OK; sister, Mary Morgan and husband Dennis of Wapanucka, OK; brothers, Robert "Bobby" Brooks and wife Linda of Midwest City, OK, Donald Brooks of Durant, OK, Mark Dewbery and Diana Watkins of Bromide, OK; nieces and nephews, Joe Morgan and wife Sydne of Talia, OK, Audrey Rochell and husband Colby of Duncan, OK, Jacob Morgan of Tiberon, CA, Jesse Dewbery and wife Crystal of Wapanucka, OK, Jason Edwards and wife Franchesca of Texas; aunts, Jenette Wilson and husband Jerry of Antlers, OK, Zelda Pate and husband Terry of Antlers, OK, Linda Dewbery of Bromide, OK; cousins, John Brooks and wife Ellen of Texas, Joseph Brooks and wife Joanna of Elgin, IL, Jean DiFulvio and husband Bill of South Elgin, IL, Patrick Brooks and wife Connie of Lake In The Hills, IL, Jim Brooks and wife Laurie of Geneva, IL; along with other relatives and many dear friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert Michael Brooks; mother, JoAnn (Shaffer) Brooks Dewbery; wife, Mary Annette Brooks-White; daughter, Angela Michele Fox.
