James William Brooks

James William Brooks
October 21, 1957 ~ May 12, 2022

James W. Brooks of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away on May 12, 2022 at his home at the age of 64 years.

James William Brooks was born on October 21, 1957, in Blytheville, Arkansas to parents Troy Anderson Brooks and Ethyl (Southard) Brooks.

James married his high school sweetheart, Debra Tipton, on January 1, 1978. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include children, Amber Dawn Armstrong and husband Dane, James W. Brooks, Jr.; siblings Gracie Lemons, Wilma Woods, Bea Brown, Betty Richardson, Troy Brooks; grandchildren Colton, Dever, Chloe, Emily, and Allison; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and outlaws, and he loved them all!

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Shirley Stevenson and Henry (JR) Brooks.

James worked at several trades. He was a master diesel certified mechanic for over 30 years.

James will always be loved and remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, in the chapel at Roberts and Son Funeral home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell.
