Caroline S. Solomon, age 72 and resident of Copan, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017.
Caroline Sue Bronson was born on October 26, 1944. She was the daughter of Abner Bronson and Maybelle (Ashbrook) Bronson. She lived most of her life in the Bartlesville area where she received her education, graduating from Bartlesville College High School. She furthered her education after high school by attending and graduating from Bartlesville Wesleyan University, Bartlesville.
Caroline and Leroy Harrison Solomon were united in marriage on August 5, 1997 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was employed with Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, where she had worked for 20+ years before her retirement. She also worked at the Washington Co. Unemployment Office for several years before retiring a second time. Approximately 15 years ago, she moved to Copan where she was living at the time of her death.
She loved working with her hands and had a 'real green thumb'. She had two dogs, Scooter and Minnie. She also raised llamas and donkeys.
Caroline is survived by son, Sean Thompson of Bartlesville; and two adopted sons, Troy Overturf and Leland Riebling, also of Bartlesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wesley Paul Bronson; and one brother.
The family suggests donations in Caroline's memory go to Washington County ASPCA,16620 State Hwy. 123, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
Memorial services for Caroline will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
