Dwain Charles Brinley, 77, of Enid, Oklahoma, went to his eternal home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Dwain was born on May 21, 1944, in Woodward, OK, to Kenneth and Faye Brinley.

He graduated from Garber High School in 1962. After graduating from OSU-Okmulgee, he moved to Long Beach, California, and met Betty Cashion. They married on June 7, 1969, and in 1972 moved to Enid.

Retiring after 34 years with Southwestern Bell, Dwain and Betty owned/operated The Arbors Assisted Living Center for 15 years.

Dwain loved "God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit," his son "Big Guy," and daughter "Punkin." Other loves included his '55 Chevy Bel Aire, '67 Mustang Fastback, Honda Gold Wing, squeezing babies' cheeks, college football, his Mother's oatmeal raisin cookies, and black licorice. He was a grand story-teller, and his favorite Bible verse was Phillippians 4:6.

Dwain is also survived by his sister Beverly Lance and brother-in-law Harold, of Enid, Oklahoma, as well as Obelander and Stoner cousins. Dwain was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Enid First Church of the Nazarene, 324 N. Cleveland. Dwain's nephew, Reverend Steve Lance, will officiate. Visitation with the family and viewing will be held at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 12, from 6-7:30 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Enid Maine Church of the Nazarene.
