Robert Levoy Brewster

Robert Levoy Brewster
June 13, 1949 ~ July 13, 2016

Robert Levoy Brewster was born on June 13, 1949 in Pryor to William “Bill” and Vonnie Mae (Gifford) Brewster. He passed away on July 13, 2016 at his home in Salina at the age of 67 years and 1 month.

Robert grew up and attended school in Mayes County; he graduated from Pryor High School in 1967. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Thailand. He was married to Sharon Jenkins on May 10, 1974 in Pryor. He worked in the oil industry for many years as an oil field operator. He worked in Alaska for 19 years and this is also where he and Sharon raised their family. He eventually retired and they moved back to Mayes County and made their home in Salina. He enjoyed fishing, boating, carpentry and woodworking. He was a licensed amateur radio operator and loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; son, Kevin Brewster and wife Cathy of Schoolcraft, Michigan; daughters, Jesica Scarff of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Jolene Hoppe and husband Drew of Portage, Michigan; six grandchildren, Shelby, Morgan, Alek, Troy, Sawyer and Parker; his mother Vonnie Feather of Pryor and sisters, Carolyn Stancross and husband Alan of Ravenna, Michigan, Brenda Phillips and husband Shawn of Pryor and Connie Brown and husband Ray of Tulsa.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister Jeanie Brewster.
