Memorial Services for Mr. Earl Clesby Brewer, Jr., 74, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Friday, May 15th, 2015 at 1:00 p. m. in the Fletcher Auditorium on the campus of Murray State College in Tishomingo. Oklahoma State Senator and Pastor of the First Methodist Church in Mannsville, Oklahoma, Rev. Frank Simpson will officiate with additional speakers being State Representative Charles McCall, Mr. Brewer's longtime friend and mentor, Dr. Ned Benton and Dr. Gary Greene, Mr. Brewer's personal friend.
The Department of Corrections Honor Guard will also have a part in the service. At Mr. Brewer's request, the family selected cremation. Memorials in Mr. Brewer's name made be made to the following organizations: The Johnston County "Reaching Out" Caner Group, PO Box 773, Tishomingo, OK 73460; The North Texas Cancer Support; The MuttNation Foundation in Tishomingo; and any non-specific canine regional breed rescue of the givers choice, that helps homeless animals.
There will be two receptions to honor Mr. Brewer, the first will be Thursday evening, May 14th,from 6-8 pm, in the Platinum Ballroom of the Ladysmith Bed and Breakfast in downtown Tishomingo and the second will be immediately after the Memorial Service in the Ballroom of the Murray State College Student Center. Mrs. Doris Murray will be coordinating these events, assisted by Mrs. Shannon Shirley. Mrs. Murray may be reached at (409) 429-4588
