Craig Brenneis

Craig Brenneis
December 2, 1951 ~ February 24, 2014 (age 62)

Craig Brenneis, 62, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 in Norman.  He was born December 2, 1951 to Edward Frank and Bette Jo (Wigham) Brenneis in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Craig was an entrepreneur as a child and his many talents continued into adulthood. After graduating from Duncan High School in 1970 he began his career in the oil and gas industry. Craig has been in the oil and gas business all of his life and retired as an owner/operator of Brenneis Oil. He stayed in touch with his high school buddies and has always enjoyed good times, traveling the world and fishing in the Gulf Bay area. Craig’s generosity was known by his family and friends, but he will be best remembered for his humor and pranks, some of which tested the metal of his friendships. Most of all he loved his family and he made sure they were taken care of. Craig married Christine Uhter on July 15, 2001 in South Padre Island, Texas and together they raise their daughter Rio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Bette Brenneis; his brother, Eddie Brenneis; his dear friend Jack Taylor; and his bird dog, Willie.  Craig is survived by his wife, Christine Brenneis; his two daughters, Ashley Resewehr and husband Shane of Bethany, Oklahoma and Rio Brenneis of Norman; his two brothers, Dan Brenneis and wife Sandy of Oklahoma City and Joe Brenneis and wife Ula Karen of Duncan; and his three grandchildren, Katelyn Brenneis, Karly Resewehr, and Colton Resewehr.

Arrangements for Craig and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
