Jim Allan Bradshaw

May 4, 1937 ~ January 2, 2018

Jim A. Bradshaw, age 80 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at his home.

Jim Allan Bradshaw was born on May 4, 1937 in Laverne, Oklahoma. He was the son of Jess C. Bradshaw and Myrtle (Griffin) Bradshaw. He spent his early years in Warrensburg, Missouri. He attended school in Bartlesville, graduating from College High in 1955. After high school graduation, Jim joined the U.S. Army Reserve.

In 1953, he was living in Vinita, Oklahoma before moving to Bartlesville where he met his future wife, Mary Ann. On September 29, 1962, Jim and the former Mary Ann Marlow were united in marriage. Mary Ann preceded him in death on November 12, 2010.

Jim was employed with the Bartlesville post office as a letter carrier. Prior to that, he was employed for a time with Phillips Petroleum Company and in the mid-60s, he was a car salesman for Bill Doenges Ford in Bartlesville. He retired from the Bartlesville post office in 1992 after 23+ loyal years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. In his earlier years, he was an active member of the Knights of Pythias. He also was an avid Oklahoma University football fan and he loved his family members, with whom he was very close.

Survivors include his two sons, Gary Bradshaw and his wife, Anne, of Independence, Kansas and Larry Bradshaw and his wife, Patricia, of Mannford, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Brianna Bradshaw, Kathleen Bradshaw, Matthew Tackett, Sarah Tackett and Lindsey McCall; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Maddilyn, Allie, Pippa, Tim and Lexi; one sister, Betty Marr of Warrensburg, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann; two sisters, Doris Cobb and Shirley Hansen; and an infant brother.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, January 13, from 2:00-4:00 PM, in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.

Private family services will be held at a later date in Warrensburg, Missouri.
