Amberly Ruth (Carter) Bradley

May 9, 1978 ~ 2015

Amberly Ruth (Carter) Bradley, 36, a resident of Stilwell, Oklahoma, formerly of Wellington, Kansas, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born May 9, 1978 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Karen (Smith) Carter. Amberly was a 1996 graduate of Grace Christian Academy in Wellington. She received a bachelor's degree in Human and Family Services from Southwestern Christian University in 2001 and a master's degree in business from Liberty University. She was currently employed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services as a child welfare specialist for Adair County. Amberly had previously worked as a loan officer for Bank of America and various daycares and ministries.

In July of 2001 in Stilwell, Amberly was united in marriage to Daniel Bradley. To this union, three children were born. Amberly and Daniel were later divorced.

Amberly's heart always revolved around music. She was a song writer, pianist, and vocalist and traveled the country with the Great Life Singers, later called One Voice, from Southwestern Christian University. Amberly's passion was being a praise and worship leader. She was active in the ministries for many churches throughout Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Following the birth of her daughter, Lydia, Amberly felt the desire to work with other families who were facing similar challenges. She will always be remembered for her amazing smile.

Amberly is survived by a very close-knit family: Her children, Lydia Grace Bradley and Greysen Alexander Bradley of Stilwell, OK; Her parents, Richard and Karen Carter of Fredonia, KS; Grandmother, Betty Ruth Carter of Wichita, KS; Sisters, Ashley and Joseph Dodson of Altoona, KS; Bethany and Shawn Raymond of Neodesha, KS; and Bonnie and Timothy Stewart of Dewey, OK; Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Amberly's son, Jonathan Alan Bradley, and grandparents, Howard Carter and Lester and Willa Smith preceded her in death.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship Church in Altoona with Pastors Joseph Dodson and Jim Raymond officiating.

Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Amberly's name with the Verdigris Valley Charitable Health Clinic and donations may be left with or sent to the funeral home.

Timmons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 168, Fredonia, Kansas, 66736, is in charge of the arrangements.
