Gary Dwayne Brackett, age 71, passed away on July 7, 2024. He was born on February 27, 1953, in Durant, Oklahoma, to H.A. Brackett Jr. and Pauline (Manry) Clark. Gary graduated from Durant High School in 1971 and spent his working years as a dedicated auto mechanic.
He is survived by his daughters, Angie Rodriguez and her husband Diego, Lori Brackett, and Margaret Costello; his son-in-law, Jeff Sisemore; and his sister, Lesa Clark. Gary was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Dewayne Clark and wife Brandi Updegraff, Beth Navarrett and husband Koltyn Navarrett, Elizabeth Costello, Alexis Costello, Levi Costello, A’magin Young, Justin Jackson, Dmaree Smart, Garrett Johns, Stran Sisemore and wife Faith Sisemore, Zack Sisemore, Kash Sisemore, Rayne Pablo, and Alex Rodriguez. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Tierra, Noah, Presleygh, and Creed.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, H.A. Brackett Jr. and Pauline Manry; his daughter, Pamela Sisemore; his brother, Terry Clark; and his sister, Mahala Trout.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements were made under the direction and care of DeArman-Clark Funeral Home in Tishomingo.
Gary will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hard work, and his kind heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
