Marjorie Anne (Waters) Bowles
April 15, 1920 ~ Oct. 7, 2013

FAIRVIEW, OK - A private graveside service will be held Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, for Marjorie Anne Bowles, who passed from this world Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at her home.

Marjorie was born April 15, 1920, in Waukomis to Daniel S. Waters and Ethel W. Wheeler.

She grew up in Helena and Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1938.

Marjorie and Forest Bowles Jr. were married July 7, 1940, in Fairview, where they made their home.

After WWII, they lived in New Orleans and Thibodaux, La. In 1951, they moved to Enid, where Forest went to work for Meadow Gold Foods and Marjorie was busy raising their 12 children. Marjorie attended St. Frances Catholic Church. In addition to cooking for her large family, she loved sewing, reading, listening to classical music and in her later years, feeding the wild birds that flocked to her patio every day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest; brother, Donald Waters; son, Thomas Bowles; daughter, Judith Page; and granddaughter, Amber Bowles.

Surviving are brother, John Waters, Tucson, Ariz.; sons, John Bowles, Tulsa, Dennis and Jim Bowles, both of Oklahoma City, Chris Bowles, Monroe, N.C., Carl Bowles, Blanchard, Martin Bowles, Enid, and Tim Bowles, Maud; and daughters, Mary McCormick, Enid, Ann Ngoran, Oklahoma City, and Lisa Bowles, Norman. Marjorie had 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love.
