Thomas Edwin 'Tom' Bourlon, our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son-in-law, went to be with his Lord and Savior January 21, 2010 at the age of 60. He was born January 18, 1950 to Fred Edward and Gladys Kathleen (Raines) Bourlon and was the youngest of 7 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marilyn, and brother Jack.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dona Sue Strawn Bourlon; son, Jon Thomas of Wellston; daughter, Amy Dawn and her husband, Jason Hilterbran of Choctaw; 3 granddaughters, Grayson, Taylor, and Mackenzie; and 1 grandson, Austin; his mother and father in-law, Don and Joyce Strawn of Harrah; 1 brother, Harold Bourlon and wife, Carole of LaGrange, TX; 3 sisters, Norma Burnett and husband, Don of Edmond; Shirley Rader and husband, Farrell of Hilltop Lakes, TX; Sue Moore and husband Eddie of Choctaw.
He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, loving family, friends, colleagues and caring nurse, Toni White. He also leaves his special companion, Lady.
Tom was a member of the First Baptist Church of Choctaw, where he was a former greeter and 5th grade boy's Sunday School teacher, a former CASA advocate and volunteer, and an avid OU fan. He spent many years in the family business, and retired as a private investigator.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to: Falls Creek Scholarship, First Baptist Church of Choctaw. He was dearly loved, respected, and admired by many. His example lives on.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw, 2700 Main Street.
