Lowell "Charlie" Boswell, 78, Lawton, was born January 9, 1936 in Gideon, Missouri to Charles and Minnie Velma (Braden) Boswell. He died peacefully at his home on May 5, 2014 with his family at his side.
No services are planned at this time.
After high school, Lowell enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served our country for 20 years.
After his retirement from the army he began a 20 year career at Goodyear. He then worked at Willow Park Nursing Home as a driver.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, a caring man and a friend to all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Velma; son, Clifton "Rusty" Boswell.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Phyllis, of the home; sons, Tommy Boswell and Phillip Boswell; granddaughters, Christine and Brittany Boswell; grandson, Phillip Boswell; great-granddaughter, Julia "Tinker Bell" Bella; sister, Alleen Tucker; nieces, Deborah Pforr, Rhonda Dodson and Frankie VanMeter; close friends, Bill Belcher, Debra and Jack Stevenson and Mickey and Sims. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lowell's name to the American Heart Association.
The family would like to thank the staff of Promise Care Hospice for the care they provided for Mr. Boswell.
