Shawndra Ann (Secondi) Bortner
February 23, 1966 ~ August 16,2017

Shawndra Ann Bortner 51, of Talala, OK passed away in Tulsa, Ok on August 16, 2017.

She was born February 23, 1966 in Claremore, OK to Gary and Carol Secondi. She grew up in Milfay and Stroud, Ok. She played basketball, softball, and track in school. She graduated from Stroud High School in 1984. She lived in Talala since 1994 having moved from Collinsville, Ok.

Shawndra had worked as a Apartment Manager for Garden Walk Apartments and before that the Cherokee Nation Housing Authority. She also volunteered for the Northwest Rogers County Fire Department in the mid nineties for 2 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother Carol Secondi, brothers Gary Secondi Jr., Shannon Secondi and Grandmother Nellie McDoulet.

She is survived by her husband John Bortner of the home, 2 children Shaylen of Collinsville, Rebecca Bortner of the home, 1 stepdaughter Jennifer Trafton of Claremore, her father Gary Secondi of Guthrie, 3 siblings Shawn Secondi and wife Candice of Guthrie, Shane Secondi and wife Hannah of Talala, Tika Secondi and husband John of Guthrie, 2 granddaughters Zara Parris of Claremore, Paisley Bortner of Owasso, cousin Vanell Wilson of Talala who lovingly cared for her during her illness, two sisters-in-law Gaila Hampsten and husband Dale of Guymon, Diane Clinton and husband Eric of Talala, 2 uncles James McDoulet of Collinsville, Glen Benoint of Locus Grove, aunt Marion Jane Lewis of Collinsville and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed camping with her family, crocheting reading, listening to music and playing card and board games, but most of all she loved God, life and her family.
