Emma Lee (Fambrough) Bordner

Dec 13, 1919 ~ Jun 25, 2016

Emma Bordner, aged 96, passed away on June 25th, 2016 at home surrounded by family.

A Memorial Service will be held at her church, Grace Community, on Wednesday June 29th at 11 am.

Emma was born on December 13th, 1919 in Breckenridge, Texas. She was the third and youngest child of Harvey and Lula Fambrough. She grew up helping with the family ranch. They had many acres to tend, grew wheat, and had cattle, along with the family garden plot. She graduated high school and went on to college at Tarlton in Stephensville Texas.

While in college Emma met and married her beloved husband Charles Bordner. Charles became a pilot in World War II. After successfully flying many missions, he became a teacher of other up and coming pilots. He retired with a rank of Major.

After the War Charles and Emma moved their growing family to Brewster Washington in 1955 to work in the agricultural business.

In 1974 they moved back to Breckenridge Texas to look after ailing parents.

In 2000 they relocated to Bartlesville to be near their son Greg Bordner.

Emma enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures. She particularly liked flower gardening, reading, spending time with her family and dogs, and the fellowship she enjoyed with her many Church friends.

Emma is survived by daughter Lee Bordner, and grandchildren Chalena, Bo, Michele, Lacy and Zeke, Carrie and Sherrie.

Friends who wish may sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org.
