Eugene "Geno" Bookman, age 64, was born September 22, 1960 in Worms, Germany to Earnest and Maxine Bookman. He leaves behind three daughters: Alana Mcquiod, Eugena Bookman, and Sandra Bookman, along with sisters Yvette, Tommye, La'te, Nichelle, Treasure, Shandreca, LaTisha and brother Nae'tee.
Eugene will be going home to his mother Maxine, father Earnest, brothers Vernard and Emmit, and sisters Yolanda, and Yvonne.
Those who loved him will remember his gentle spirit and the way he made people feel seen and valued. He was the kind of person who carried light into difficult spaces, not by pretending that life was easy, but by reminding others that they were not alone. His life teaches us that strength is not always loud, and that the most powerful souls are often the ones who serve quietly and love deeply. He showed that being thoughtful is a gift, being selfless is a calling, and being loving is a form of courage.
Eugene leaves us with burning memories of being an amazing father, brother, uncle, and cousin to many. He was truly one of a kind, with the biggest heart that most of us have ever seen, which is truly a blessing. It will not be the same on earth without him but knowing he is home with Allah makes the sorrow milder.
