Susie was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on November 5, 1950 to James and Elizabeth Sutton. She passed away on December 8, 2019 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
She grew up in Wakita, Oklahoma and graduated from Wakita High School in 1969. After graduation she attended x-ray school at St. Mary’s in Enid. On May 25, 1970, she married Gary Bonham in Twitty, Texas. Susie and Gary had two sons, John Bonham of Perry and Kyle Bonham of Edmond, Oklahoma.
Susie and Gary started their lives together in Shamrock, Texas and lived there until March of 1976, when they moved and made their home in Fairview, Oklahoma. Susie worked for many years at the Fairview Regional Hospital as a nurse for Dr. Harris and enjoyed living in the Fairview community.
Susie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed crafting and crocheting blankets for her loved ones. Watching her grandkids at their sporting and school events was also a favorite. Through the years, she also enjoyed working outside and taking care of her garden and fish pond. She loved being a nurse and being able to take care of the wonderful people in the Fairview community through the years.
She is survived by her two sons, John and his wife Sandy of Perry, and Kyle and his wife Heidi of Edmond; five grandchildren, Emma, Sutton, Savannah, Griffin and Blair; two sisters, Joy Gideon and her husband Steve of Anthony, Kansas and Wanda Harmon and her husband Tom, also from Anthony, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
