Memorial services for Sharon Gail Bond, 78, of Gainesville, Texas were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 5 at Crossroads Baptist Church, Gainesville, with Reverend Randy Taylor officiating.
Born January 31, 1944, at Gainesville, the daughter of George Bazel and Abbanell Muriel Warner Bond, she died Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Gainesville.
Sharon graduated from Gainesville High School. She enjoyed baking, gardening, shopping, and treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Aaron Rutledge; brothers, Mickey Bond and Harold Bond; and sister, Sandra Bond Sims.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Gail Powell of Gainesville; sons, Ethan Powell and wife Bettina of Lewisville, Texas and Jonathan "J.P." Powell of Decatur, Texas; grandchildren, Mariah Stinson of Burneyville, Chelsea Putnam of Wynnewood, Jessica Linnit of Tulsa, Lance Beck of Gainesville, Leah Morrison of Story, Arkansas, Jonathan Thurman of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Samantha Johnson of Dallas; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church.
