Ginger Renee (Holloway) Bond

Ginger Renee (Holloway) Bond
Aug. 13, 1958 ~ Aug. 15, 2014

Memorial service for Ginger Renee Bond, 56, of Lahoma, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at United Church of Lahoma, Lahoma, Okla.

Ginger was born Aug. 13, 1958, to Myrle and Naomi Holloway and departed from this life at home to be with her Savior after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer on Aug. 15, 2014, at the age of 56.

She was raised in many different locations during her childhood, as her father was an officer in the Navy. She spent a great deal of her childhood in Sasebo, Japan, and made many lifelong friends from Japan and the naval base. Her family finally settled in Mooreland, Okla., after Myrle retired from the Navy. Ginger graduated from Mooreland High School in 1976.

Ginger spent the early part of her adult life being her kids' mom. Upon her children reaching school age, she began her career at Integris Bass Hospital in Enid, Okla. Ginger worked at Integris until she retired in April 2014.

She married Mike Bond on Aug. 8, 2008. They made their home out on the "farm," south of Lahoma, Okla. Mike was a loving husband and cared for her selflessly to the end. This union brought together a family of nine children and currently 12 grandchildren.

Ginger loved life! When she wasnt working her job, she was helping a family member with a craft project, and she enjoyed making personalized gifts for those special occasions. She also served as vice president of the Womens Circle at her church and was the photographer for Vacation Bible School.

Ginger and Mike made crafts in their spare time and spent many of days selling their creations at the local craft shows. Her happiest moments though, were when all her kids and grandkids were at home for the holidays or some family event.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Bond; sister, Brenda DePriest of Portsmouth, Va.; her son, Gary Lyon and wife Misty of Enid, Okla.; son, Doug Lyon of Edmond, Okla.; son, Derek Broadbent and wife Tennille of Leedey, Okla.; daughter, Tara Hannaford and husband Bo of Alva, Okla.; son, Levi Bond and wife Marie of Garber, Okla.; daughter, Sabrina Bergdall and husband Kody of Lahoma, Okla.; son, Brady Bond of Garber, Okla.; daughter, Katie Lyon of Chickasha, Okla.; and son, Cody Bond of Garber, Okla. She also is survived by her grandchildren, which she truly adored, Camron Lyon and Carmen Lyon, Kelsee Berdgall and Gavin Bergdall, Gunner Gill, Dallas Gill, Mariah Gill and Ellie Broadbent, Carson and Tucker Hannaford, Kaylin and Jake Bond.
