Dennis Eugene Bond

Dennis Eugene Bond
September 26, 1944 ~ July 10, 2015

Dennis Eugene Bond triumphantly entered heaven on July 10th 2015. Dennis was born on September 26th, 1944 to Able James "AJ" and Gilberta Bond in Stafford, Kansas and grew up in the Kansas communities of Stafford, Wichita, Mulvane, and Hutchison.

Dennis was the youngest of three sons to AJ and Gilberta, having two older brothers James Howard Bond and La Vern Dwayne Bond.

He loved to work with his hands, which allowed him to work across several industries and professions. This included working for Boeing aircraft in Wichita, KS, and Bell helicopter in Amarillo, TX. He also worked as a commercial and residential carpenter, farmer, and as a Dorm Parent at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch near Channing, TX. While living in Texas, Dennis graduated from the Southern Baptist Seminary Extension class in 1979 with a diploma in Pastoral Ministries.

Later in life he enjoyed replicating authentic Native American ceremonial items for use at powwows and enjoyed the close fellowship of friends from several Native American tribes across the U.S.

He loved his Savior Jesus Christ, his three sons and their families, as well as the beauty of God's handiwork in nature and creation.

Dennis's family includes his three sons: Barry, wife Janie, and grandson Jeremy Bond of Lawton, OK; James, wife Angela, granddaughters Gabriel, Daniel, and Isabel of Green, KS, and Steven, wife Kristina, and granddaughters Iliana, and Ariana of Junction City, KS, as well as many nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and grandson, Matthew Bond.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18th 2015, at 10:30am in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel.
