Charles P. "Chuck" Bonar Sr
July 20, 1948 ~ July 08, 2015

Charles P. Bonar Sr., age 66 died on July 8, 2015 at his home in Lawton.

Chuck is survived by his sons Charles "Phil" Bonar Jr. his wife Joanne of Lawton, Michael P. Bonar and wife Courtney of Lawton, Daughter Melanie Bonar of Lawton. Grandchildren Gracie Bonar, Haylee Palma-Bonar, & Michael P Bonar II & His Sister Vicki Wilson of Simi Valley, CA. The mothers of his children Suzanne Gomez Abbey & Leslie Arabia Bonar both of Lawton. Also Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death his daughter Tracey Bonar and his mother, father and sister Francis Eoff.

Chuck was born on July 20, 1948 in Lawton, Ok to Francis & Veeva Bonar.

He graduated from Lawton High School in 1966.

He traveled with his band "Youngbreed" for a couple of years.

In 1972 he went to work for Coca-Cola until he enlisted into the U.S. Navy in 1976 where he served for 4 years and did 9 years in the reserves while he worked at Johnson's Milk, Borden Milk, C & C Distributors, and then he would go on to retire at the V.A. Center.

He loved working on his cars which included his 69 Ford Van, 55 Chevy, and his 84 Buick Regal. He had several trains, model cars and airplanes.

His biggest passion was his drums. If you need a drummer he was the man to call. He would play and learn the song on the spot if need be some of his bands to name a few are, "Axis", "Experience", "Two Guns", "Pierce Arrow", "Tres Hombres", "lb. Salt", "Brothers Dupree", & "Jo Mama".

Chuck loved his sports, Oklahoma University and The San Francisco 49ers. He could tell you stats on any team.

A funeral is scheduled for Thursday July 16, 2015 at the Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
