Memorial Service for Neil Bolenbaugh will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022, at Oakwood Christian Church, with Pastor Scott Betts officiating.
Donald Neil Bolenbaugh was born September 20, 1943, to Donald Bolenbaugh and Hazel (Schlottog) Bolenbaugh and passed away February 19, 2022, surrounded by family.
Neil married Jo Ann Long on March 30, 1973. To this union a son, Michael, was born. After Jo Ann's passing, Neil married Jackie Countryman on August 27, 2016.
Neil graduated from Hillsdale Schools then went to Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee, where he got his Associates degree in Diesel Mechanics, then earned a Business Degree. Neil obtained Real Estate and Insurance Licenses as well. He and his family owned a dairy farm in Carrier, OK.
Neil served in the Navy where he proudly served for three years on the Submarines and one year on Riverboats defending his country. He also served in the Vietnam and Cold Wars.
Neil loved spending time with family, spoiling his grandkids, fishing and golfing. He loved meeting new people, helping people and serving his country as well. Neil was a member of the Awakening Fire Church, the American Legion Post 190, Moose Lodge #1740, VFW Post #2270, and the NRA.
Neil was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jo Ann Bolenbaugh; step-son Edward Leatherman and daughter-in-law Wanda Leatherman.
He is survived by his wife Jackie of the home; sons, Michael (Geneva) Bolenbaugh and Daniel Bolenbaugh of Enid, OK; brother, Ken (Cheryl) Bolenbaugh of Enid, OK; step-daughter, Lynette (Aschel) King of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughters, Brieanna and Lillieanna Bolenbaugh and Madelyn King; grandsons, Aaron Bolenbaugh, Mason King, and Aaron McCauley.
