Theresa Ann (Hall) Bohon

Theresa Ann (Hall) Bohon
February 6, 1938 ~ March 1, 2019

Theresa Ann Bohon, longtime Ponca City resident, passed away at home on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:07 pm.

Theresa was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on February 6, 1938 to Edward F. and Frances Anna Hall. At a young age, Theresa and her family moved to Ponca City. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School, graduating in 1957. Shortly after graduation, she met Hurley Bohon, the love of her life. They married June 28, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ponca City, Oklahoma. They would have been married 61 years this June. Theresa and Hurley have two children, Cindy Ann and Jon Edward.

Theresa was a stay at home mother and a professional volunteer, dedicating her life to helping others. She served extensively in St. Mary's Catholic Church and was always present to lend a hand when needed. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Guild, served as a Eucharistic Minister, volunteered to wash church linens, taught religious education, and drove elderly parishioners to Mass if a ride was needed. Theresa delivered for Meals on Wheels, was a member of the Ladies' Red Hat Club, served meals at the McCord Senior Citizens' Center, and was a member of the Mother's Club, serving as an officer and program director. She was always on the go.

Theresa's greatest joy was her family. She was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Theresa was the matriarch of her family, always taking care of others and never missing a chance to get family and friends together. She will be truly missed.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Frances Hall and sister, Rose Mary Bohon.
Theresa is survived by her husband Hurley, of the home, daughter, Cindy and husband Ted Bellmard of Sumas, Washington and son, Jon Bohon and wife Crissi, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, as well as six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters: Ed Hall Junior of Ramona, Oklahoma, Jerry Hall of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Katherine Raiteri, of Hernando, Mississippi, and Ruth Smith of Newkirk, Oklahoma.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Theresa's name to McCord Senior Citizens' Center, 115 E. Mary Road, Ponca City, Oklahoma, 74604.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
