Riley Boatwright

Riley Boatwright
October 18, 2005 ~ September 24, 2019

Riley Boatwright, age 13 of Lexington, entered Heaven’s Gates on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, following an unexpected injury playing football. Donald Riley Boatwright was born October 18, 2005 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was an older twin, and the 4th of 5 children of Donnie Boatwright and Tracey (Malone) Boatwright. Riley was a country boy, and like most boys his age, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and life on the farm. Riley was a Lexington Bulldog through and through; an 8th grade student at Lexington Middle School. He was active in FFA. He worked hard raising, training and showing his pigs, and he excelled in both the local and state levels. Riley loved football, and his teammates and classmates, and he played with passion. His passion for life helped make many friends. He was kind and thoughtful, a good student and will be forever remembered as just an “all around good kid”.

Riley was a member of the Cowboy Christian Fellowship and the Lexington First Baptist Youth. He looked forward to Falls Creek and was excited to attend his First Super Summer next year. On July 1, 2018, Riley’s life changed eternally, as he professed his faith and was baptized. He was a good son, brother and grandson; a nephew, cousin, uncle and the best friend anyone could ask for. Until we meet again Riley!

He was preceded in death by:
His grandmother, Sue Malone and
His aunt, Kelly Corbin.

Riley is survived by:
His parents, Donnie and Tracey Boatwright and
Sisters Natalie and Chase and brothers, Coleman and Regan, Cole and Ean, all of Lexington;
Grandparents, David and Cindy Boatwright of Lexington, James Malone of Newcastle and special grandmother, Nora Armstrong of Dallas, TX;
Aunts & Uncles, Charlotte Holman and husband Mike of Newcastle, Victor Boatwright of Lexington, Angie Powell and husband Eric of Lexington, Buddy Malone and wife Stephanie of Okla. City and Angel Malone of San Antonio;
Nephew, Wade Boatwright and a host of other family and friends.
