Jackie Junior Boatman age 86 of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed from this life Sunday, July 14, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
He was born February 26, 1938 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Zeke and Vita (Hughes) Boatman.
Jackie was raised in Wewoka and attended Wewoka schools.
He married Joyce Lynn Oliver on May 16, 1960 in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Jackie worked as a butcher for many years when he was younger. He later worked for Shawnee Public Schools and retired after many years.. He loved to roller skate, water skied, loved to ride motorcycles and dune buggies, and was a talented arm wrestler.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; his wife, Joyce Boatman; his daughter Jacklyn Boatman; his siblings, Frank, Bill, Pete, and Betty.
Survivors include; daughter, Jana Garrison Sisney and husband Trent; daughter, Jayme Boatman; grandchildren, Faith Sisney, Porter Sisney, and Randall Sisney, Daralyn Parham, and Zachary Garrison; brother, Joe Boatman and wife Pat; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Sparks officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
