Vicki Diana (Dunn) Bly

Vicki Diana (Dunn) Bly
March 13, 1951 ~ February 9, 2025

Vicki Diana Bly (Dunn), 73, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in McLoud, Okla. She was born to Pat and Oleen Dunn on March 13, 1951, in Hobart, Okla. She graduated in 1969 and was a proud Hobart Bearcat. She was a longtime resident of the Dale, Little Axe, and Shawnee areas, where she worked and volunteered at multiple places, touching many lives.

Throughout her life, Vicki worked in various roles, including as a hairdresser, gas station attendant, substitute teacher for Little Axe and Shawnee Public Schools, and as a P.C.A. at Harrah Nursing Home. She also served as an election poll official for Cleveland County Election Board. She was a dedicated homeroom mom and Cheer Coach at Little Axe Elementary School, organizing numerous fundraisers that benefited the school and its students, and a proud supporter of her community. If you knew her, you were her friend. And you always knew where you stood with Vicki; she had a spicy personality and never hesitated to share her thoughts. Her proudest job was being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her life and heart into nurturing and loving them all. She was a kind and loving woman who never met a stranger. Her warm smile lit up any room she entered.

She loved to craft, particularly quilting and making personalized gifts for her loved ones, sing, and dance, finding joy in creative expression. Her garden was her sanctuary, filled with vibrant roses and an abundance of fruits and vegetables. Her nurturing spirit extended to all she encountered, and she will be remembered for her compassion and generosity.

Vicki was a devoted wife to Robert Bly for 40 years. Their love story was one of enduring devotion and laughter. She was a loving mother to four daughters: Jonna and Eric Dart of McLoud; Jenny and Bobby Howard of McLoud; Sara Bly and Isaac Stanberry of Shawnee, Okla.; and Drew Bly and Robert Wheeler of Little Axe, Okla. She was a cherished grandma to Derrick, Levi, Deven, Jacob, Zen, Jordan, Rob, Brenden, Daven, Payton, Makenzie, Christian, and Logan, and 15 great-grandchildren, and sister to Jack Dunn of Chandler, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jana Dunn Pierson, and two grandsons, Brayden Konechney and Caleb Howard.

A celebration of life will be held March 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. in McLoud Ferrell Building, 215 S. 6th St. McLoud, OK 74851. Vicki's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
