Marcella M. Blubaugh was born August 12, 1920 in Clyde, Oklahoma, daughter of Anthony and Veronica Ronck Weber.
On July 27, 1937, Marcella was united in marriage with Ralph M. Blubaugh at Clyde, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with five children: Patricia, Dennis, Lawrence "Larry", Alan and Alecia. They made their home in Danville, Kansas.
Marcella prided herself on being a homemaker and mother. She was member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Danville, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community.
On December 1, 2012, Marcella passed away at the Harper Hospital at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 19 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph on January 11, 1989; son, Lawrence "Larry"; sons-in-law, Richard Fisher and Roy Carlson; brother, Paul Weber; and sister, Dolores Metzinger.
Recitation of Rosary will be held 7 p.m. Friday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Harper. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Danville, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community, with Father Michael Peltzer officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Danville. Visitation 9-7 Friday at the funeral home.
Marcella will be deeply missed by her children: Pat Fisher Carlson of Wichita, Dennis Blubaugh and wife Sandra of Wichita, Alan Blubaugh and Donna Reinbold of Manhattan, and Alecia Crabtree and husband Bob of Mulvane; daughter-in-law, Karen Blubaugh of Goddard; sister, Marilyn Metzinger of Caldwell; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
