Dorothy (House) Bloomer

February 24, 1932 ~ April 21, 2013

Dorothy Bloomer was born on February 24, 1932 in Carter to Anthony Green and Flora [Clancy] House. She passed away on April 21, 2013 in Oklahoma City at the age of 81.

Dorothy graduated from Hiway High School. She married Doyle Bloomer on June 4, 1949 in Carter. They moved to Elk City; Pampa, Texas; Stinnett, Texas; Pinon, N.M.; Leedey; then to Hinton; Speerman, Texas; El Dorado; El Reno; Drumright; Willow; back to Leedey; Gracemont; and back to Hinton, where they retired.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hinton.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Bloomer of Hinton; her children, Roger Bloomer of Sickles, Larry Bloomer and wife Debbie of Burns Flat, and Lloyd Bloomer of Hinton; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 1 brother, as well as many other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Green and Flora House.

Memorial donations may be made to Westview Boys Home, 120 W Broadway St, Hollis 73550.

A Memorial Service officiated by Mr. James Cudd will be held at the Hinton Church of Christ on Monday, April 29, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Services are entrusted to Turner Funeral Home in Hinton. Condolences may be sent to the family at turnerfuneralhomes@gmail.com.
