Dalania Elizabeth Blocker

Dalania Elizabeth Blocker
February 24th, 1994 - June ??, 2017

Dalania Elizabeth Blocker graced the world 23 years ago and stole the hearts of her parents Quannitta & Vernon forever. Lanie, as called by her loving mother, was born February 24th, 1994 in Houston, TX.

After 11 years in Texas, the choice was made to make their home in Bartlesville, OK. Here Dalania attended both middle school and high school and she was awarded the honor of becoming a member of the National Honors Society. Dalania was involved in several school and community organizations, Bartlesville Boys and Girls Club, Mutual Girls Club, High School Marching Band, Flag Guard, youth Leadership and Volleyball. Her passions were playing volleyball and community service. Dalania was a true servant of her fellow man and women. Dalania enjoyed attending summer youth camp KAA (Kids Across America Christian Sports Camp) where she found her Lord and Savior and became saved and in later years Dalania returned to KAA as a counselor.

Dalania attended the University of Oklahoma and University of Central Oklahoma in pursuit of a degree in Pre-Med and Minor African American Studies. While attending, she was involved with BSA (Black Student Association), numerous community service events, mentoring and tutoring whenever possible and while working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at both a disabled group home and nursing home. All of which only fueled her passion to want to help more individuals. Although her goal of completing her degree became prolonged as she fell ill, Dalania never let her physical struggles detour her, as it would only fuel her to continuously be sedulous in achieving her goal of graduation.

Notable, Dalania has become an honorary member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Theta Mu Chapter University of Oklahoma.

Unceasing she loved, laughed and encouraged those who surrounded her, which she revered as family.

Dalania is survived by; her mother, Quannitta Blocker of Bartlesville, OK, father, Vernon Bell of Houston, TX, grandparents, Nana and Pawpaw Charles & Gloria Carter-Wong of Portland, OR, her niece of Tahlequah, OK, numerous extended sisters & brother, aunts and uncles, Michael & Shawnie Blocker of Portland, OR, Steven Blocker, Portland, OR and a host of cousins, great aunts and uncles in Oregon and Texas.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15th, 2017 in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville, OK with Pastor Elder Lowell B. Nash officiating.

A viewing will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17th at Lewis Funeral Home, 509 South Baylor, Brenham, TX then continuing to the family plot for Interment in Burton, TX at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery where Dalania will be laid to rest next to her ever-endearing Great Grandmother, Lizzie M.
