Tony Edward Block, age 79 of Wapanucka, Oklahoma passed away at his home surrounded by family. Tony was born on June 30, 1945, in McKinney, Texas to parents Wayne Edward and Mattie Loranine (Duke) Block. Tony graduated from Richardson, Texas High School and UT Arlington with his associate’s degree. He married Rebecca Woodall on June 17, 1967, in Concord, Texas and they have been truly blessed with 56 years of marriage. They moved to Johnston County from Pottsboro, TX in August 2004. Tony worked for Johnson and Johnson as the Principal Engineer for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shop work, and was blessed to spend time with his family and friends.
Tony is preceded in death by his father Wayne Edward Block and brother Larry Wayne Block.
Tony is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Rebecca Block of the home; daughter, Rachal Rawls and husband Michael of Silo, OK; grandson Joshua Loper and wife Ashlyn of Silo, OK; mother Loraine Block of Waxahachie, TX; brother Carl Block and wife Eliza of Waxahachie, TX and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will celebrate Tony’s life at 6:00 PM Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Coyote Run in Wapanucka, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
