Wynona "Winnie" (Weiser) Blakeney

Dec. 6, 1909 ~ Aug. 12, 2002

Wynona "Winnie" Weiser Blakeney passed away on Aug. 12, 2002, in Sacramento. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Dec. 6, 1909, she was 92 years old.

She married Harold Kinney in 1928 and moved from Illinois to California in 1940. She married her childhood friend, Robert A. Blakeney in 1972 and moved back to Decatur, Illinois. After her second husband passed away, she moved to Winters in 1994, where she lived for seven years.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Kinney Chance, of Elverta; Grandaughter (sic) Patty Havens and husband Dacey, of Winters; grandson David Chance and wife Candace, of Oregon City, Oregon; great-grandchildren Barbara Havens, of Concord, Amy and Katie Havens, of Winters and Stephanie and Tyler Chance, of Oregon; great-great-grandson Marquise Vega and sister, Betty Weiser, of California.

A memorial service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. A second memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m., in Decatur, Illinois.
