Jason Paul Blakemore, 46, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed from this life on June 16, 2025. He was born on February 9, 1979, in Ardmore, OK, to Roger and Marsha (Peden) Blakemore.
Jason is preceded in death by his mother; Marsha Blakemore, grandparents; Anna Lou and Francis Blakemore, and J.D. Peden, uncles; Randy Mac Peden and Kevin Peden.
Jason attended Pauls Valley Public Schools, where he was an active athlete. He played football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball. He was a fierce competitor on the wrestling mat, having qualified for state multiple times. Among all the sports he played, baseball was likely his favorite. As a catcher, he gave his all in every game. After high school, Jason briefly attended Murray State College to play baseball.
He attended the Assembly of God Church with his Nannie and Papa, who taught him about God. Jason was always grateful to them for showing him the path of faith.
One of Jason’s favorite hobbies was fishing. He especially loved bass fishing and could often be found at ponds all around the area. He also enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and working on his home with various craftsmanship projects. Another passion of Jason's was racing. As a teenager, he would go to the drag strip and pit for his Uncle Steve and Aunt Teresa. They also shared a love for NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. Above all else, Jason loved spending time with his kids.

Jayna Blakemore of Wynnewood, OK
He is also survived by his father, Roger Blakemore, and his significant other, Tami Snider, of Kingston, OK; grandmother, Mary Nell Peden of Ravia, OK; sister, Tracie Sargent and husband Bobby of Kingston, OK; special bonus brother, Phillip McBroom and his significant other, Amanda, grandchildren, Liam and Kylin; nephews, Jarrett Blakemore, Kelton Sims, Bryson Sims, and Zach Sargent, his dog; Naomi, one grand-dog; Bella.
Jason was also loved by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He considered many to be “bonus kids and family” — including Rebecca, Indy, Faith, Danny, James, and Clarise.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK.
Services are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
