Bonnie June Blackwell was born July 14, 1924 in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Oren and Hazel (Stanton) Temple.
She passed from this life May 4, 2020 in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 95. Bonnie had lived in this area for the past 9 years, coming from Arizona.
She and Bob Blackwell were united in marriage on September 17, 1944. They owned and operated several bowling alleys in Kansas for many years. She was proud to be a Professional Bowling Teacher and also educating young children. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the Methodist Church in Kansas.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Bob Blackwell; her parents, Oren and Hazel and by a brother, Don Temple.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Baysinger of Norman and Larry Blackwell of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Geoffrey Baysinger and Jennifer Baysinger; great-grandchildren, Willow Allen and Julia Allen.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date through Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association
