Charles David Blackbear was born on July 4th, 1960 to James and Daisy Blackbear in Kingfisher, OK.
Charles met his wife Gilberta Hill in 1981, and they remained together until her death in 2012. This union was blessed with four children- Theodora "Gail" Hill, Dorcas Blackbear, April Blackbear, and Floyd Blackbear.
Charles was a member of the Cheyenne Bowstring Warrior Society. Charles loved to fish and hunt. He was a witness to his savior Jesus Christ, and took part in restoring the church. One passion of his was working on crafts. Charles especially loved his grandkids, of which he was blessed with 10, soon to be 11.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James and Daisy Blackbear; wife, Gilberta Hill; daughter Theodora "Gail" Hill; sisters Erma and Bessi Tasso; and brothers Jacob and Lester Blackbear.
Charles is survived by his daughter Dorcas Blackbear and husband James Washington of Seiling, OK; daughter April Blackbear of Fairview, OK; son Floyd Blackbear and wife Yvonne Benton of Seiling, OK; sister Marylou Powell of Oklahoma City, OK; brother Floyd Blackbear of Watonga, OK; brother Luther Whiteeagle of Nashville, TN; brother Burton Blackbear of Oklahoma City, OK; brother James Blackbear Jr. of Geary, OK; brother Roy Aguilar of Oklahoma City, OK; 10 grandchildren with another on the way; and many friends and loved ones.
