Shelly Kahleetah (Soap) Black
March 3, 1968 ~ March 22, 2022

Shelly Kahleetah Black, daughter of Nick Soap, Janis (Chulio) and Jim Sawney was born March 2, 1968, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at 54 years of age.

Shelly married the love of her life, Preston Black on January 14, 1990.

She is survived by her loving husband: Preston Black; 1 daughter: Sophie Cochran and husband Daniel; 2 grandsons: Raylon and Kyron Cochran; 2 brothers: Dale Sisco and wife Tracy of Roland, Oklahoma, and Jimmy Sawney of Muldrow, Oklahoma. Many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Nick Soap and Janis Sawney; her twin sons: Ty and Brayden Black; and her grandparents: Sallie and Daniel Hummingbird, and John Chulio; 1 uncle: Oscar Chulio; sister-in-law: Reenee Sawney; and 1 special cousin: Kammy Catron.

Shelly loved going yard selling, secondhand shopping, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.

She will be missed by so many because of the love she spread to everyone she encountered.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Roberts-Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK.
