Memorial Services for Carl Ray Black, 80, will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2023, at Fairview Funeral Home Chapel, Fairview, Oklahoma. Pastor Dennis King will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Carl Ray Black was born on October 15, 1943, to Franklin Andrew Black and Geneva Peral (Charter) Black-McClellon in County Line, Oklahoma and passed away at his home on his 80th birthday, October 15, 2023.

Carl attended school to the 10th grade and then went to work. He was a hard worker man that worked many different jobs in his life. He worked for CC automotives, Koch Oil, Howard Way Chevrolet, as the groundkeeper at the Golf Course, and the city of Fairview where he worked in the electrical department until he retired.

He married Betty Carolyn Reeves November 9, 2010, in Taloga, Oklahoma. Carl helped his wife manage the Corner Bar which they owned for many years. Carl was a hard-working man that was loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.

Carl is survived by wife Betty Carolyn of the home, four daughters: Cherie Walters and husband Garry of Fairfax, OK, Regina Schoonover and husband Cory of Kingfisher, OK, Lisa Birch of Fairview, and Telina Cheney and husband Tony of Longdale, 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and son-in-law Stanley Loudermilk. He is also survived by two sisters Sandy Bohannan and Gayle Johnson both of Yukon, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Regina Loudermilk.
