Billy Gene Black

February 2, 1937 ~ April 23, 2020

Private family services will be held for Billy Gene Black, age 83 of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Billy passed away on April 23, 2020. He was born on February 2, 1937 in Ellington, Missouri to Burnice and Goldie (Bowers) Black.

Billy had lived in the Guthrie area since 1995 and previously lived in Missouri. He married Rita Miller on July 1, 1998 in Texas. Billy was employed with Bomhak Trucking. He was baptized in the Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and working in the yard.

Survivors include his wife Rita Black of the home in Guthrie, his three children, Sherry Toon and her husband Greg of Bentonville, AR, Gina Wimsey of Tyler, TX and Randy Black and his wife Cydnee of Guthrie. He is also survived by his sister Janet Sue Bayes and her husband Charlie of Doe Run, MO, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gerald Wayne Black and sister Wanda Mae Ray.

Services will be under direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
